Biocidal product

Any substance or mixture, in the form in which it is supplied to the user, consisting of, containing or generating one or more active substances, with the intention of destroying, deterring, rendering harmless, preventing the action of, or otherwise exerting a controlling effect on, any harmful organism by any means other than mere physical or mechanical action. It may also include any substance or mixture intended to be used with the intention of destroying, deterring, rendering harmless, preventing the action of, or otherwise exerting a controlling effect on, any harmful organism by any means other than mere physical or mechanical action (Regulation (EU) No 528/2012).
Bisphenol A
BPA
Bisphenol A is a synthetic chemical substance commonly used in the industrial manufacture of plastics (especially in contact with food). At European level, the use of BPA is regulated in baby bottles and in plastic materials in contact with foodstuffs (Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011).
Blue Guide

The “Blue Guide” is a guidance document designed to contribute to a better understanding of the EU rules on products and to a more uniform and consistent application of the rules within the single market. It is addressed to Member States as well as to operators who need to know the provisions aimed at ensuring the free movement of products and a high level of protection throughout the Union. The Blue Guide was updated in 2022.
