Organic farming
–
Organic farming is a method of producing food using natural substances and processes, i.e. excluding the use of synthetic substances, such as pesticides, medicines or synthetic fertilisers, and GMOs.
Agricultural products, whether processed or not, which meet the requirements of the EU regulation on organic production and labelling of organic products (Regulation (EU) No. 2018/848) or, where applicable, the conditions defined by the specifications approved by order of the minister(s) concerned on a proposal from the National Institute of Origin and Quality (INAO), may be labelled as “organic” (Article L641-13 of the French Rural Code).
